  • Michael Severance directs the Acton Institute’s international office in Rome, where he is a public speaker, writer and conference organizer on issues of the moral anthropology, virtue, entrepreneurship, and innovation. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Humane Letters from the University of San Francisco and a M.A. in Philosophy and Modern Languages from the University of Oxford. While living in Italy for over two decades, Michael has worked in various other professional capacities in educational development and teaching. He has sewn his roots deeply in Rome’s volcanic foothills, where he lives with his wife and three children.
